| Welcome Vision In Ephesians 1 through 2:24 we have a picture of a "church" (Greek: ekklesia, meaning a people, community of believers) that is the Body of Christ (1:22, 23), the Kingdom of God, the household of God (2:19), and the temple, the dwelling place of God (2:21, 22). And finally in 4:24 we begin to visualize a greater view of this church, "a new man" that is to be the highest calling of God's glory (Col. 1:27) in a people. It is to this assembly of called-out-ones that Written Word Ministries was established. Though our original mission was in teaching the Deaf community the reality of God's presence and calling in this Third Day, our main focus has since changed. This word of "God's glory in man" has taken on a new meaning in our personal lives to teach and write to all, be it Deaf, hearing, Jew or Gentile, the significance and beauty of this end-time separation unto God. Therefore Written Word Ministries will continue to be a teaching tool to in-home studies and church groups of the Deaf and the hearing and become that literal written word to the many tribes of God's chosen people - His called out ones, those who have heard His word and answer His calling. Bio Sketch “And be constantly renewed in the spirit of your mind [having a fresh mental and spiritual attitude]. And put on the new nature (the regenerated self) created in God's image, [Godlike] in true righteousness and holiness” (Eph. 4:23, 24, Amp). James has been a teacher and writer since the early 70's. In 1977 he and his wife Mary and their two daughters moved to North Carolina from Wisconsin in search of God's will in their lives. It was not until '94, after many years of study and soul searching, that he and his wife were led by the Lord to start a "Deaf Ministry" with his wife as the interpreter to the messages taught by James. Though they themselves are not deaf or hard of hearing, they do foster a young deaf child of twelve by the name of Billy and continue to speak to both the deaf and hearing communities alike. Their ministry has continued since the early 90's and has led them to a deeper involvement, spiritually and physically, in both fellowships. Since their ordination in January of 2003, James and Mary continue to expand their ministry through the written word by means of Newsletters, and Internet writings, with teachings to church groups and in-home studies to the hearing and/or deaf communities. His message will be put forth, whether through Written Word Ministry or some other God-called ministry, to those who would have "ears to hear what the Spirit is saying to the church" (Revelation 2:7, 11, 17, 29; 3:13, 22) about the "hope of glory" (Col. 1:27) manifested in a people. |
