Education

  • 1968 - Milwaukee Institute of Technology- associate degree in commercial design.
  • 1973 - University Of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, bachelor’s degree in teacher certification.
  • 1995 to 1997- Wilson Technical Community College, Wilson, NC, two years course work in
    paralegal studies. No certificate.
  • 2009 - Central Piedmont Community College, phlebotomy program, with 109 hrs and 101
    sticks at Presbyterian Hospital.

Experience

  • Seven years as a certified class room teacher in public and private schools (This position
    required people skills, student evaluation, course planning and implementation, group
    leadership, record keeping, public relations skills and inspirational speaking).
  • Various sales positions: Selling cars, mobile homes and advertising space.
  • Owned my own snack cake vending route for nine years, required customer service and
    bookkeeping skills, and vehicle maintenance.
  • Operated a sign painting business for eighteen years, requiring skills in promotion, sales,
    pricing, execution, collections and bookkeeping.
  • Four years in manufacturing as a tool crib attendant and machinist apprentice, this position
    required reading blueprints.
  • Eleven years of retail grocery experience in frozen food, dairy, meat and seafood
    departments. This also included inventory control, inventory prep, stocking, labeling, setting
    displays, customer service, promotions, and sanitation.

Last Assignments

  • 2009 -109 hours and 101 sticks in clinical experience at Presbyterian Hospital.
  • From 2/2002 to 11/2008 - Sales and stocking associate at WALMART, Inc., in Charlotte NC.
    (Terminated at a time when sales are decreased 20% and management was reducing staff
    of their highest paid personnel and replacing them with inexperienced staff.)
